E.L.F. 32 Eyeshadow palette review

Eyeslipsface.com or E.L.F. recently has a few limited edition palettes out.
E.L.F. 32 Eyeshadow Palette

The Palette includes 32 eyeshadows and one dual ended sponge tip applicator. On the inside lid of the palette there is a small mirror all the way across the top.

I do like E.L.F. products but overall wasn't too WOWed by this.

There are a lot of gunmetal/grey/black shades and some browns even have purple or copper undertones which is nice.

Here are some swatches just on my fingertips:
(please excuse the bad quality but u get the idea)

Green (Third row, 5th color)
Blue (Third row, 7th color)
Purple (Third row, 3rd color)

Black (Fourth row, 7th color)
Brown (First row, 7th color)
Burgundy (Second row, 6th color)

The colors I chose are the more pigmented ones and did take a lot of product to get on the tip of my finger.
They really aren't that pigmented but they are fairly blendable.

When applying them to your eye, the do create a lot of fall out but the payoff is wonderful if you have enough time to pack on color.

This palette does seem sturdy and durable.
It is organized well, in the sense colors for all over lid and crease duos are near each other.
For the $5 price tag, I would recommend this because you have many different shades for special events and to dress up or down your look.

Overall Pros:
-Inexpensive (It is around 15 cents per eyeshadow)
-Thin but durable and sleek packaging.
-Multiple color choices

Cons:
-Not super pigmented
-Fallout
-Needs primer

Whether you are big into makeup or not, this is a good palette to have because it includes many colors that are easy to pair and very flattering for all occasions.

Budget Buying!

Makeup can get expensive so here are some ways to be a budget buyer!
  • Use coupons
    • Find coupons in the Sunday paper, magzines, websites of the brand or store you're buying from
  • Promotional deals!
    • Clinique, Estee Lauder, and other department stores often have promotions where if you buy a minimum purchase you get a cute makeup bag filled with cosmetics
  • Take advantage of rewards systems
    • Yep, all those little plastic cards that get scanned at checkout are actually useful
  • Buy on sale
    • When you're running out of your favorite blush start checking weekly ads
    • Whether it's a BOGO 1/2 off sale, 40% off, clearance, or Buy 2 get 1 sales will save you more money than you think!
    • This also means, if you want to try a product and it's not on sale, WAIT!
  • Dupes!
    • A Dupe is a less expensive product that looks like a more expensive one. You can often google dupes and find lists and lists of them. (One of my favs that I use all the time is Covergir Champagne eyeshadow. It's a dupe for Stila Kitten!)
  • Don't splurge on all your items
    • I spend more money on face powder and less on mascara. If you buy all expensive products, you may be missing out on something better and are spending too much money!
  • Ask for free samples
    • When u order from ULTA online you get free samples, and at many department stores they'll be happy to give you little samples that last a few uses
  • Do price comparisons online, espically for salon hair care
  • Check out beauty supply stores
    • Sallys Beauty Suppy and CCOs and sites like AllCosmeticsWholesale.com are superb
    • Stores like Big Lots and the Dollar Tree are good too, when packaging changes the old packaged products get sent away to store to be sold for less. (I've found Almay eyeshadows at Dollar Tree and some maybelline eyeshadows)
  • And finally, obviously you may need to cut back on buying
    • Project 10 Pan is a good thing to do. It's basically you using up 10 things you already own before you buy anything else. The name comes from when you finish a product you see the pan at the bottom.
    • Will-power is a good thing to exercise
You should never pay full price for anything! Happy Shopping!

My take on E.L.F.

If you know makeup you probably know about the popular website eyeslipsface.com, and throughout this blog you will know it is one of my favorite sites.
E.L.F. stands for eyes lips face and they sell very inexpensive makeup. VERY INEXPENSIVE.
The site layout has a few "lines" a regular e.l.f. one where products are $1, a Studio line where products are $3, a Mineral line where products are $3-$5, a Bath and Body line that consists of moisturizers, body butters, soaps, hand sanitizer, etc. and products are mostly $4, and there are various "gift sets" and often limited edition items throughout the site.
Pros:
-Very inexpensive. I can get a lot of products and not feel guilty
-Often have a coupon code
-Wide range of products (primers, nail polish, moisturizer, brushes, brush cleaner, blush, mascara, lots of lipstick)
-Good shipping

Cons:
-Favorite products are often out of stock; and take a while to get back in stock!
-Fairly small product sizes
-Not always superb quality

I use some of their products daily and other I purchase from the site when it's a 'beauty trend' so if I don't like it, it's not a lot of money wasted.

When searching this site it's important to let go and trust the products. I know with them being so inexpensive it's easy to be skeptical but please don't.
Just because a product is cheap doesn't mean it isn't good, and vice-versa.
I will admit, some of the products are bad and don't even meet my standards.
I will have various reviews in the future out on some products and my favorite and least favorite products from them.

If you don't order anything because you're nervous about the quality you will miss out on some amazing products
