Tips to a flawless, zit free face and clear skin

Tips to a flawless, zit free face and clear skin
Here are a few little things you can do to be sure your face is looking its best.
Because "you skin is so clear" is such a better compliment than "nice foundation"

Change your pillowcase often
Dead skin cells and everything else is in your pillowcase so
when you sleep on it, it can clog pores on your face

Wear your hair up and out of your face when you sleep
The oil from your hair can also clog pores on your face while you sleep

Always wash your face/take off all your makeup before bed
Makeup won't hurt your skin if you take care of it

Moisturize!
You should always be sure your skin is hydrated well. If you have
dry skin you should use moisturizer, and if you have oily skin it may be
because your skin is producing more oil to try to hydrate it.

Stick with a skincare routine
New products take almost a month of consistent use to take full effect.
So once you have a routine, it is important to stick with it
Be sure to use a cleanser, spot treatment, moisturizer, and maybe toner if necessary
Also a face mask once a week is ideal. And a scrub every 3 days

When washing your face, massage the product into your skin for at least 30 seconds
This gets the product into your skin
Don't touch your face
Oil and bacteria from your hands shouldn't go on your face, obviously

Don't pick at your pimples
I know it sounds gross, but we've all done it.
Instead, hold a warm washcloth over a whitehead until it opens itself up and...empty it

Go to your dermatologist
They can always help you. The products they prescribe you have more percentages of the active ingredients.
But if drugstore products are working, you don't need to shell out a lot of money for other higher-end products because they use the same ingredients.

My Favorite Hair Products

My Favorite Hair Products

If you go into any woman's shower you will see bottles upon bottles of shampoo and may think an entire army washes their hair there...
Ahhh, the world of hair products

First off, hair is not my thing. I am much more of a makeup person, but
I figured I'd tell you about my hair products anyways.
I am willing to spend a little more money on hair products if they work. But with makeup I don't mind exploring because I like it, hair is such a different story!

I have straight, fine, naturally blonde hair that is past my shoulders and side bangs.

I alternate shampoo and conditioner every month.
I am not sure if it really does anything but I like the result

I'll either use Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Shampoo and Conditioner or Redken All Soft
I probably will switch it up once I finish up the bottles.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner
It doesn't have that awful smell like most Aussie products, instead it is a nice sugar cookie smell
It leaves my hair so soft in so little time.
I use it about every week or twice a week
and just put it on the ends (You should only condition the hair
below your ears so you don't weigh down your roots)

Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo
This is such a good clarifying shampoo! It removes excess build up and leaves my hair feelings so light.
I use it every week or every two weeks.

Pantene Style Volumizing Root Lifter Spray
It is in a white spray bottle with a purple stripe.
I have tried so many volumizing sprays and this is by far the best. I like sprays because I have fine hair and it is lighter and easier than a mousse

John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Fixation
I use this when I blow dry my hair, it protects it a little and makes it straighter
My hair is already naturally Pretty Straight but this makes it straighter

John Frieda Daily Nourishment Leave In Conditioner
This is a good smelling spray leave in conditioner. It makes my hair softer
and when it's feeling dry I spray this to make it more manageable

Tresemme Dry Shampoo Spray
When I am late and just take a body shower and put my hair up this gets rid of oil so well!
Also if I use too much hair product this takes care of it. But the smell isn't so wonderful

Tresemme Heat Protector Spray
Perfect for when I use my CHI Flat Iron to make my hair even more straight

Redken 10 WaxBlast
Probably my favorite product of all and worth the (eek!) $17
It takes all those little frizzies and fly aways like nothing else!!

Sun-In
This hair lightener gets a bad rap, but if you condition and take good care of your hair and keep it healthy it will work well! Also don't try to lighten your hair if it's to dark. And know when to stop!

Of course, leave a comment! What are your favorite hair products?
