Revlon Color Stay liquid foundation RAVE
I am pretty hopeful you can tell what this post will be about by the title.
Many gurus on youtube and bloggers rave about this products but I
just didn't try it yet because I didn't want to believe the hype.
I bought it i shade 150 Buff for normal/dry skin. It's a little light for me,
(which was an accident because I wanted to get oily/combo but I'm not really stressin it now)
It was about $15 regular price at CVS, but there are often sales.
And it's one ounce
Packaging
It looks very modern and looks more expensive
It looks very modern and looks more expensive
But it doesn't please me.
MAJOR CONS: I am concerned the glass will break, the twist off top is very unhygienic, I won't be able to get the last drop of the foundation, and it is a pain to use.
(Although it doesn't look as nice, I would prefer it in a plastic squeeze tube)
Color
I got it in 150 buff and It's kind of light. I mostly got this because it's yellow toned
and most foundations from the drugstore (covergirl anyone?!) are pink toned, which don't suit me.
Even if your face is pink toned you may want a yellow toned foundation to cancel out the pink.
This is the correct shade for me because I wanted a yellow tone, and the next bottle was "sandy" which I didn't want.
The color range is pretty good.
It also comes for dry/normal and oily/combination skin which is fantastic that a drugstore foundation offers that!
Application
I apply it lightly in layers with my fingertips, otherwise it cakes up.
and dust it with some powder, it takes a while for it to "set" so it looks nice, but by the time
I get where I'm going it looks good. But watch out it can get cakey
OVERALL
Fantastic foundation, I look forward to playing with it more.
Definitely exceeds drugstore expectations
PROS
Long lasting (bottle says 16 hrs but I don't agree)
Medium/full Coverage
Wide color selection
choose for your skin type
CONS
packaging
price is fairly expensive for drugstore
All in all, I would recommend and repurchase
